Bluebells and Picnics

Today me and my boyfriend Matt decided to pack a picnic and visit Bentley wood for a walk and a spot of lunch on the way. I have never visited Bentley wood but it really is a beautiful place and at this time of year the bluebells are out. The wood is under a charity trust and is known to have many species of butterflies in the forest.

We packed a picnic of sandwiches, quiche, scotch eggs, cookies and strawberries before finding the perfect spot for a picnic. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a picnic, but theres something about enjoying great food and finding that perfect picnic spot that makes it so enjoyable.

After returning to our walk we went in search of some bluebells. Matt lead me to a area in the forest that was full of bluebells and wildlife. We managed to catch a glimpse of a deer and hare as well as a tiny caterpillar crawling to the nearest tree. These sights never get old and make me so glad to live in the countryside.

I am looking forward to more days like this spent in the sun with picnics and beautiful countryside.
